Mad cyclists

Ok so we have finally done our round london 200miles in 2 days but I did have to do some sewing so that we looked the part ... I thought the tops turned out ok .... my first freehand embroidery with the machine, I can see a few more things being done in the not too distant future :-)

Knit fabrics .....

whilst in Luxembourg for the weekend at half term we happened across a fabric fair (lucky for me an unluckily for Florian).

They had lots of knit fabrics and some pattern books so I treated myself to a few ... well i have been looking for some in the shops in England but havent found any I like and I really fancy making some dresses for work ... so here is what I bought

Not sre what I am going to do with it .... but the orange material was very cheap so I thought I would try and make a top with it and see how I got on ..... so here is my first attempt at "dress making"

not too bad fpr a first go ... and also considering the fact the patten was written in german and I had to get Florian to translate it .... not an easy task for either of us ... but divorce hasnt happened and the top turned out ok :-)

so what next ..........
