Steffi and I went shopping this afternoon ..... And here's the results of an afternoon shopping in Nuremberg .....

Summer holiday crafts

We seem to have a habit of bringing the beads and yarn on holiday so along with some knitting here is what we have made this year ..l.

Markus and presents .....

Well Markus seems to have done very well for birthdays this year .......

- a party in July

- presents before we went on holiday

- a day out on on of European longest summer toboggan rides

- presents ( ice cream and crisps) from the farmer who's cottage we are renting

- a few more presents that we brought with us ...... Hidden using the trusted treasure hunt method :-)

Ok I should know better than to remind Steffi that it is Markus' birthday when I'm busy sewing ...... She made a card then decided that Markus would really like a quilt and pillow for action man for his birthday !!!!!

So here is the result of her sewing, she managed all the quilting sticking herself on the sewing machine and hand stuffed and finished the pillow ...... Don't thin M or AM were as please with the present as she was hoping ...... But at least it is big enough for 2 so Sindy can also keep warm ....... Not that there is any need for keeping warm on holiday in Bavaria ..... Today was 38degC !

Jelly roll number 4

Ok so jelly roll number 2 has just been finished and number 4 arrives ........this one is going to be a bed runner I think ..... Will need some white with it as well I think ..... All I need now is a pattern....l pintrest here i come ....

Jelly roll quilt number 3

Now that number two is finished I have started on number three ..... This time it is going to be a house warming present for Traudl ..... Let's hope it doesn't take tooooooo long to finish as she moved in to her rented apartment in fleet at the beginning of July.

So far I have cut the strips of border and started to sew them together, but then ran out of white cotton   And went on holiday, so it will be a job for when I get back.

For the back of the quilt I'm going to make some squares from the piles of material that Traudl has given me ...... Just need some help from Steffi to put the patterns together .... Her fav job when I'm quilting :-)

Here is progress so far ..... All the squares laid out on the bed ..... All I need to do now is sew them back together ......

They are all sewn together now 

and I even managed a pillow out of the scraps .... Just the back to do :-)
