Scrappy quilt

When Traudl moved over I was given a big bag of scraps so I though it would be nice to try and make a quilt out of then for her, so the kids can use it when they go and stay.

Here is what the front looks like

All I need do now is quilt it all and then bind it, think I might just do straight lines for the quilting.

Things for Markus

The kids have a habit of deciding they neeeeed something and then choosing the material gpfrom my cupboard so I can make it.

Back to school time has been no exception and Markus had found a need for a number of camoflage material things ....

A pencil cane and a conference freebie that now has his name and a water bottle pocket on it :-)

He now keeps reminding me that I said I would make him some trousers ......

More cards

Here's a few more cards I've made

Thankyou cards for the kids birthdays

A craft bag to start making some more things with :-)

And some cards made from it ....

Cross country 2016

The cross country season has started again, so the kids and I are back into the Lord Wandsworth series. Not sure that I will equal last years success in winning a trophy, but as long as I don't come last that's fine with me :-)

No. 110 trying hard

I've even persuaded Adam from work to give it a go .... He did say he enjoyed it really, despite what it might look like in the photo.

New coats :-)

Grandma's 70th

Here's my little chef helping with Grandma's birthday cake

Spiralizer

I've got a new toy ...... Well not just me really, everyone is enjoying spiralized veg ....

The kids are the talk of the playground .....

My friends are dreading coming round for dinner ..... I can't understand why :-)

Even the Fleet Chtistmas starter had some spiralized salad :-)

Autumn fun

Last day of half term so we went to the park and had some fun playing football with Euan. Needless to say we all came back very muddy !

Sunday treat for Cathy's birthday

Kerry and I went off to London to meet the other centre parcs girls on Sun 9th ?Nov. The kids and dad's were left at home to sort out rememberance day parades, whilst we went to the shard and then for afternoon tea.

Halloween fun

This year Joƫlle came over to stay for half term do we carved our pumpkins early .... But they still looked good

Then on Halloween we went over to Sabine's house. The kids did dome climbing in the morning (birthday treat from Natalie and jenny for Steffi and Markus .... The first weekend we had managed to do it since their birthdays )

Then we went back to Sabine's for some Halloween fun

.... I think Markus had the most fun dressing up, he had been preparing his ninja costume for a few days

Although in preparing for making his nunchucks for his ninja costume he had come up with a novel way to get us all to use the same toilet so as to finish the toilet roll quicker ....

Apple cookery ....

Apple season again, so I've been busy finding new things to do and a few old favoueprites. Some of the things I've apmade this yes are :

- Apple jam
- Apple crumble
- Apple and cinnamon rolls .... Make them the night before and cook in the morning then spread with frosting ... Yum
- Apple pies ..... I bought myself a new cook book so had to try them, they looked a bit like little meat pies but tasted v good

Jelly roll quilt number 3 - part 2

Ok so the fromt of this quilt was finished relatively quickly but it has taken me a while to get round to doing the quilting.

The front was finished for Traudl's birthday in Sept but then when she moved her things over I was given a whole load of material that she had in her cupboards. I thought it would be nice to make the back from part of this stash so here's what I came up with ....

Let's hope she likes it :-)
