Crochet weekend
A weekend at the mother in laws always means plenty of time to do some crafts or read a book (or 7) while Florian and his mum catch up in German. This weekend has been no exception ..... I have finally got round to making something with the Boodles t-shirt yarn I bought a couple of years ago and never masters crocheting with it :-)
New clothes for the kids
Oma asked me to buy the kids some new clothes when we went to the supermarket ...... Steffi has been after a cropped top for a while so when I saw this I knew it would be perfect as would the new trouser suit ..... And for Markus a new shirt (we won't loose him when he is wearing it) and some new shorts with braces ..... I got some on some jeans a couple of weeks ago, which obviously I don't wear ax they were far too trendy for me, but since then he has been pestering me to put them on his shorts .... So this pair were perfect .......

Triathlon success .....
The first bank holiday in May is always the Hart Sprint Triathlon and I have entered for the last 3 years ...... This year the bike route was a bit different to previous years so the times probably aren't that comparable ...... But I did finish faster than last year which is always my aim 😀🚴
This year Stu also took part and despite the fact that he has never swum that far before he did a fantastic effort and got through the whole thing ,...... Am sure nex year he will be hot on my heels as his bike and run times were very similar to mine.
Revamped and repaired cushion
I was given some of my Gran's embroidery when she died and made a cushion out of a panel that just needed a little bit doing to finish it off ..... But the kids love it and have been using it a lot so the fabric had started to suffer. Have now quilted some backing onto the lovely embroidery and remade the cushion cover so am hoping that it lasts a little longer 😀

Recycled 70s fabric
As Mum and dad have recently finished their spare room, and I came across an old sheet and some material to match the curtains in the room so I thought I would make a quick quilt out my new quilting book
Baby quilt
When Ali and I went to the Farnham quilt show in January I couldn't resist buying a hungry caterpillar panel, and had the perfect excuse as graham at work was due to become a dad at the end of January. Well Lydia arrived on time ..... And the quilt ..... Well I think finished by the time she was 3 months old isn't bad ...... Here's some photos of it in progress and the finished article ..... I even managed to use up some cute flannel fat quarters that I had in my cupboard :-)
Birthday cards
I'm loving my new embossing and cutting machine .... Here are some cards I made this morning and some we made on out girls weekend at centre parcs a couple of months back.
